Summer learning Journey Activity one Day 5

Hello bloggers,
Today I will talk about logging. Logging means cutting down forests to make paper, houses and energy. Today I will discuss if logging should be allowed in NZ.

I think logging shouldn't be allowed in NZ because trees give us oxygen so we can stay alive. If we have no more trees we can't eat fruits. This planet is the only planet with life right now. So if we ruin it humans will go extinct. Earth gives us things to survive. We should let earth survive to.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. Do you think logging should be allowed? Comment it. BYE!!

  1. Hello Vitaraag,

Every time I jump online I am blown away with how far you have jumped ahead. I can see that you only have three days worth of activities to go until you are finished. That is absolutely fantastic, Vitaraag. However, do not fret, you can continue on the programme by commenting on other students posts. You will get 2 points per activity that you do. You can find all the clusters here http://www.akohiko.org/home/blogging.

I absolutely agree with you. I also believe you made some very valid points for anti logging. In fact, the New Zealand Government has started up an initiative called the One Billion Trees Programme. They plan to plant 1 billion trees in New Zealand over the next 10 years. Some of the main reasons for this initiative align with the reasons why you are against logging. For example, the trees are to help create more oxygen and eliminate the carbon dioxide produced by human life. It will improve our water quality, as well as, providing habitats for animals.

I think this is a great programme that the Government has set up. What do you think about it?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Nga mihi,
    Megan :)
