Summer Learning Journey Activity 2 Day 3 Week 3

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about a superpower I want to have. There is a bat in Australia called the flying fox. It sleeps in the morning and hunts at night. It's superpower is it's hearing. It uses it to guide it through the night. To be honest I want to have every power in the world that is good. But today I will share my most favorite one.

I want to be able to be invisible because if I don't want to play outside I can use my invisibility to go inside and play inside. I can use it to steal stuff. For example lets say I want chips but we have none I can use my invisibility and steal it from the shop. PS: I would never do that it was just a joke. If I can't sleep because it is to loud I can sneak into a hotel room and sleep invisible.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. What superpower do you want? Comment it. BYE!!

Hello bloggers
Today we are going to talk about my most favorite NZ bird. My most favorite bird is a kiwi. The most liked bird in NZ for this year is the kererū.

Most kiwis live on rough farmlands. They are endangered animals. Kiwis normally eat a variety of worms as well as small crayfish, amphibians and eels. The kiwi is the only type of bird in the world to have nostrils at the end of their beak.

It is endangered and it has brown feathers and can not fly at all. People are hoping that the kiwi population goes up. If it doesn't it will become extinct. They are nocturnal birds.
I do not own this picture. All credit goes to google search.

Summer Learning Journey Activity 3 Day 2 Week 3

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about a math equation. But first here are some facts. When it is winter fungi grow everywhere. They are very unhealthy to us and some are found in the air. These ones are called airborne fungi. But enough of that here is he math equation. Lets pretend that we took an air test and found some airborne fungi. The janitor said it will take 5 days to clean one fungi. There are 7 flying fungi. How long will it take to clean all 7 fungi?

Here is video.

To answer this all you need to do is multiply the numbers together. I knew this because it takes 5 days to clean one and you can do 5+5+5+5+5+5+5 but I like to do 5 x 7 or 7 x 5 because it means the same thing.

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about sinks. Not the sinks that produce water but sinks that takes away stuff we don't want. For example some forests take away carbon dioxide and that is amazing! I have to imagine that I have a sink that can suck the foods that I don't want away. I have to tell you what I would put in that sink.

I would put rice because we have it for lunch everyday and I need a change for once and now the taste is bland now since I have eaten it so much. Yogurt to because it is really slimy and it just tastes disgusting. My sister makes disgusting noises when she has it in her mouth which make me not want to eat it. Strawberries because to me they are sour. Cooked tomatoes because they look disgusting and taste like raw pumpkin.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. What would you put in your magical sink. Comment it. BYE!!

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 Day 2 Activity 1

Hello bloggers,
In this blog post we are going to talk about bumble bees. I have to answer these questions and that is pretty much it.

The word ‘bumblebee’ is a compound word (bumble + bee). The word ‘bumble’ means buzz.

Bumblebees can fly very quickly. They can reach ground speeds of 54 kilometres per hour (km/h).

Bumblebees are very strong! They carry up to 90 percent of their body weight in food with them to avoid starvation.
Bumblebees can do more work and carry more pollen than other bees, including honeybees. In fact, they can do 50% times as much work as a normal honeybee.

The number of bumblebees is declining in New Zealand due to a number of factors, including habitat loss and disease [insert any two causes of the declining number of bumblebees].

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about being sun smart. I am going tell you what you should do to not get skin cancer.

You should wear a bowl hat because that protects your whole face. You shouldn't wear a cap because that only protects the front of your face. Put on lots of sunscreen so you don't get sunburn. Put on sunglasses because you need to protect your eyes of the UV rays. You should go under umbrella so that will block most of the sun away. Don't go in the sun for to long without any protection.

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about places in NZ. Personally I think that NZ is a beautiful. Today I am going to share what season tourists should go to NZ and three things  they should do in NZ.

I think that tourists should go to NZ in summer because in summer you can swim in the water and it is not as cold as usual. The sun is out and it is really fun and lots of people will be there and you can play with them. It is also the holidays.

While your in NZ you should climb mountains because when you get to the top there is a beautiful view of the place. You should swim at beaches because it's loads of fun and it's really cool so if you are hot go and swim. Tourists in NZ should go on boat in the water to islands.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. Do you want to be a tourist? Comment it. BYE!!

Summer Learning Journey Activity 1 Day 5 Week 2

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about over fishing. Over fishing means you fish so much you don't have enough to replace. Then the place you fished will be private and if your caught fishing in that area you have to pay a fine of 100,000. Today I am gong to tell you why I think it is okay to be paid 100,000  for going over fishing or if it not okay.

I think that is is right to be paid 100,000 because earth treats us right so we should treat it right by not destroying it. It is right also because the ocean is going to be destroyed if no animals are in it. I actually think that if it is restricted not even private people can do stuff there. Earth is protecting us so we should protect it.

Summer Learning Journey Activity 3 Day 4 Week 2

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about three photos. I am going to describe each of them so you can get a picture in your mind of them.

 Selfie number 1
Everyone gathered around and did a pose. The men were all pushing each other to get in the photo. The man in the middle took out his cellphone. At that moment everyone started doing poses and acted happy. He went onto the camera frame and everyone started freaking out. His thumb went closer to the take a photo button and soon everyone was acting normal and smiling. He took a photo and just before that someone put their hand in front of the phone. They took a photo as a group.

Selfie number 2
My hand lifted into the air. I felt free and never looked down. My heart was pumping. I was so high in the air because I climbed a statue. My legs were shaking. A smile went upon face. I was nervous but I still loved it up in the air. My eyes barley opened but they were slightly open.

Selfie number 3
She climbed up a wall and started posing, then pulled out her phone from her pocket and started taking selfies. She stood on a beautiful landscape of a city, on the edge of some platform high in the air. Her jacket was tied to her waist. If she were to fall she would of fell in the ocean. Beneath her was an ocean of vibrant blue. When she took the selfie she was balancing. Her mouth had a smile. One of her arms were leaning toward the edge of the platform.

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about a place called Milford Sound. There is a beautiful view and there oust to be glacier but no \w] they melted and made a beautiful river. I have to tell you if I want to go by flying walking or on a boat.

I want to go by boat because you get to experience what the water is like and you can see the view. You might see under the water too. You might get too swim and if you want to get out of the river you don't have to swim to the edge of the river you have to swim to the boat.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. What would you go on? Comment it. BYE!!

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about a math question. The question is you need to move a squid that weighs 500kg. A parent can carry 25 kg and a kid can carry 15 kg. How much parents and kids will it take to carry the squid to a different aquarium.

I will answer this question by doing times. For example I will do 25 x 7 and if that is higher than 500kg then we lower the 7 to lets say 4 and you keep on doing that until you get 500kg. The real answer is that you need 20 adults because 25 x 20 = 500. There are multiple answers.

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about a strong person. The person can be anyone even if it is fictional. Mangrove trees are a really strong type of tree. They grow in shallow rivers. They can last through horrible storms and if you ask an expert they will say that the mangrove trees are really tough.

I think that hulk is strong because if you look at the movies or the books hulk destroys everything so quickly. He is also part of the good guys side. You can see his muscles and he can jump so high that his jump is higher than the world highest skyscraper. He can rip things that no one can rip. He is so tall and has black hair. His skin is a dark green.

Summer learning journey Day 5 Activity 3

Hello bloggers,
Today I will talk about my life in 2018 ( before NZ sinks to the bottom of the ocean). I will show this to people that have never been to NZ. ( I am just pretending that NZ will sink to the bottom of the ocean).

2018 has been a really successful year in NZ. My mind has been blown away because 2018 was one of the best years of my life and It always will. There have been a lot of change in my life. NZ is a peaceful place where deadly animals don't wish to go.  Whenever it is sunset it is always a beautiful landscape. Not much drama happens in NZ. There are so many places to explore.  I wish you the best of luck for your future country.

Hello bloggers,
Today tundra is getting really hot. Here is a letter that I made about a class trip to tundra. Tundra is a biome that has no trees and the average temperature is -28 Degrees Celsius.

Dear Mum and Dad,
Our class went to a trip to tundra. It's really dry here. Whenever I step its a crumbly noise. My eyes look on the sunset and my feet are as tired as a sleepy mammoth. My skin felt like a crumbly cookie and sweat drips down me like a fountain.  I found it difficult to inhale so I had to use an oxygen tank. It was weird because there were no animals no trees. I feel alone in this biome.

Summer learning Journey Activity one Day 5

Hello bloggers,
Today I will talk about logging. Logging means cutting down forests to make paper, houses and energy. Today I will discuss if logging should be allowed in NZ.

I think logging shouldn't be allowed in NZ because trees give us oxygen so we can stay alive. If we have no more trees we can't eat fruits. This planet is the only planet with life right now. So if we ruin it humans will go extinct. Earth gives us things to survive. We should let earth survive to.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. Do you think logging should be allowed? Comment it. BYE!!

Hello bloggers,
Mt Everest is the tallest mountain in the world. The first to climb it was Edmund Hillary. He climbed it in 1953. Today I will discuss 5 questions I would ask Edmund Hillary.

I would ask how long did it take you to reach the top of Mt Everest? I would ask this question because I want to climb it myself. How old were you when you climbed Mt Everest? Why did you climb Mt Everest? How long did it take you to pack? What inspired you to climb Mt Everest?

Hello bloggers,
Today I am going to talk to you about an organisation called The World Wildlife Fund. This organisation was made in 1961. It is made for saving endangered animals.

The freshwater seals are an endangered species and they are born in holes in the snow. But if there are no holes they are born on land which is dangerous because of predators.

WWF has been clearing the snow and digging some holes so the seals don't get attacked by predators and go extinct.

Seals were near extinction. But it was a big success. They made the seal population rise so much higher. Thanks to the World Wildlife Fund organisation freshwater seals didn't go extinct.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. Have you saved an animal? Comment it. BYE!!

Summer learning Journey Activity Two Day 3

Hello bloggers,
Today I will tell you why I want to be a Doc Ranger. But first here are some facts to include. The chevron Sink lizard are only found on two islands, Great Barrier island and Little Barrier island.

A Doc ranger is a person who goes to island and protects wildlife. They also study the animals there. Sometimes they stay there overnight.

I want to be a Doc ranger because it is fascinating to watch animals scatter. I also want to be one because you get to see a rare species of lizards. We can protect the wildlife at the island so animal life does not drop.

I also don't want to be a Doc ranger because there can be a dangerous things at the island. We might fall in the water by accident and we might drown if we don't know how to swim.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Please give me feedback on my work. Do you want to be a Doc Ranger? Comment it. BYE!!

Summer Learning Journey Activity three day two

Hello bloggers,
In this blog post I will talk to you about a maths problem that is about cactus. Some cactus can survive by having 3 millilitres of water a day!  The problem is you get a cactus for your birthday and it needs 3 millilitres of water a day to survive. How much water do you need to keep it alive for one year? This question is a mix of plant life and maths.

I think it needs 1095 millilitres of water in a year because 3x365=1095. I think this because it needs 3 millilitres a day and there is 365 days in a year so the answer should be 1095. Here is my video. To figure out the multiplication I just already knew it. But if you don't know how to then just add 365 3 times and you will get the answer.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Please give me feedback. What is your answer? Comment it. BYE!!

Hello bloggers,
In this blog post I will explain why I want to go to and visit Tāne Mahuta (the largest endemic tree in NZ).

I want to go visit Tāne Mahuta because it is the largest endemic tree in NZ and it is a cool experience that you might only get to see once. I also want to see it because I want to see how big it is and compare it to other trees in NZ. I want to see it in person because in images it doesn't show the patterns on the tree.

Activity One Summer learning Journey

Hello bloggers,
Today I am going to tell you top 3 facts about NZ. The north island of NZ formed because of Maui (a demigod). Maui's brothers went out for fishing planning not to bring Maui. But Maui hid in the canoe and waited until they were far from home Maui jumped out from his hiding place and paddled. He used the magical jawbone from his grandmother to fish out the north island and went to get something. His brothers sliced the fish and it made bumps which are now what we call hills. The south island of NZ is Maui's canoe

Scientists believe that NZ is around 50 million years old. They say it formed because of a super continent called Gondwana broke apart and one of the pieces of land was NZ.
Top 3 facts

  1. Sir Edmund Hillary was the fist to climb Mt Everest and he was a New Zealander.
  2. New Zealand won the first rugby world cup in 1987
  3. The smallest dolphin in the world is the Hector dolphin and is only found in NZ
Bonus fact : NZ is also home to the only flightless parrot the Kakapo.

Thanks for checking out my blog. Please give me feedback. Make sure to check my blog once a day to be updated on my holidays.
