Summer learning journey activity 2 Day 5

Hello bloggers,
Today tundra is getting really hot. Here is a letter that I made about a class trip to tundra. Tundra is a biome that has no trees and the average temperature is -28 Degrees Celsius.

Dear Mum and Dad,
Our class went to a trip to tundra. It's really dry here. Whenever I step its a crumbly noise. My eyes look on the sunset and my feet are as tired as a sleepy mammoth. My skin felt like a crumbly cookie and sweat drips down me like a fountain.  I found it difficult to inhale so I had to use an oxygen tank. It was weird because there were no animals no trees. I feel alone in this biome.

  1. Hello Vitaraag,

Well done on completing yet another SLJ activity, 'Living on the Edge'. I can see that you have put a lot of thought into your letter writing back to your Mum and Dad. I couldn't imagine what it would be like visiting The Tundra. When I was living in Taupo the temperature would get down to -3 degrees some days and I thought that was freezing. Rachel, who works with the SLJ was brought up in a place near The Thudra. What kind of activities do you think she would have done in the winter when it was this cold? Also, what kind of clothes do you think you would need to have packed to visit The Thundra?

I cannot wait to hear back from you.

    Kindest regards,
    Megan :)
