Yesterday evening was our production it was an outstanding performance. My heart was pounding faster and faster. The more closer my act was the more nervous I got. I was the backstage crew. When my dance came I was frightened but during our dance I was trying to find my parents in the audience. But I didn't.

The Great Wall of China

This week is Chinese Language Week. We are usually really busy with production but today we were learning about the great wall of China.

I learned

• The Great Wall of China was built over 2000 years ago
• The Great Wall of China can be barley seen in space if good weather conditions
• The Great Wall of China has lots of watch towers

A question I have is who thought of making The Great Wall of China?

It's Time!

Hello Bloggers,

Today is our matinee show! Over the past 10 weeks we have been working very hard on our dances. 

Other schools from Mt Roskill have agreed to come and watch our performance of Where the Wild Things are.

 

At the moment I am nervous because I have never acted in a movie. I am also relived because our evening show has SOLD OUT! I have two important jobs. The first one is acting in the Bollywood group and I am a runner/backstage crew.

Persuasive writing to Mrs butler

Hello bloggers,
We wrote persuasive letters to Mrs butler because we wanted her to bring her dog (Jess) to come into our class. We finished them and sent them to Mrs Butler. Then she actually brought Jess in.
Here is my Persuasive letter,

Dear Mrs Butler,

Thank you for visiting our class and telling us about your best friend Jess. I think she must be an astonishing companion. I really relish the chance to see her. The way you described her makes me surprised to hear about such a delightful dog. I am sure that it will be a fantastic time with you and Jess.

I think Jess would cope well because you described her in a really nice way. She is really tolerant so if everyone runs and pats her she will work with it.

We promise we will be respect Jess and not be silly with her. We all will love her so much and want to see her in person. If you brought her it would be fun for everyone in the school.

We are all going to be excited when Jess comes . But we all know that it is your choice. Please bring Jess.

 Mrs Butler came in to work with us yesterday. We looked at a poem called "Did you ever?" By Nathan Reed. Mrs Butler challenged us to write a poem using descriptive nouns and verbs.

Did you ever look through a telescope at night?

Stars twinkling

Moon glowing

Planets orbiting

I love it

Did you ever play cricket?
People diving
Bat swinging
Ball rotating
