Summer Learning Journey Activity 3 Day 2 Week 3

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about a math equation. But first here are some facts. When it is winter fungi grow everywhere. They are very unhealthy to us and some are found in the air. These ones are called airborne fungi. But enough of that here is he math equation. Lets pretend that we took an air test and found some airborne fungi. The janitor said it will take 5 days to clean one fungi. There are 7 flying fungi. How long will it take to clean all 7 fungi?

Here is video.

To answer this all you need to do is multiply the numbers together. I knew this because it takes 5 days to clean one and you can do 5+5+5+5+5+5+5 but I like to do 5 x 7 or 7 x 5 because it means the same thing.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. BYE!!

  1. Hi Vitaraag,

It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team reading your blog from Canada.

I see you have done the math to calculate how long it would take to clean up 7 different kinds of mould in a classroom. You're right - it would take 5 X 7 days, or 35.

Do you like to do maths at school? I suspect you do. It was one of my favourite subjects too because solving the problems was like solving a puzzle - fun!

I also loved physical education and sport and so I'm going to say that I hope you're getting lots of activity out of doors this summer, along with doing these SLJ activities.

Keep up your hard work and have a good day!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
