Summer Learning Journey Week 2 Day 2 Activity 3

Hello bloggers,
A long time ago people that were Africian Americians were treated terribly. They got a worser life than white people. For some reason in the 1900s if you were a Africian Americian you couldn't be in the same place as the white people. A person named Martin Luther King Jr took part to save this horrendus thing. When he did this it inspired many people including, Rosa Parks. She stood up for herself. On the bus the bus driver told he that she had to move so a white person could sit there. She refused. Therfore she got arrested. Many people were triggered by this occurence. Here are my thoughts about this.

I think that this is so unfair. People can't control what their culture and skin colour is. It's basicially the lottery, you could win, but you could also lose. I feel what Rosa Parks was a great thing. This is a main reason why this thing stopped. Personally I would do basicially do anything to make this never occur again. I don't understand why this would happen in the first place anyways.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! If you have any comments or feedback please feel free to leave it in the comments. What do think about this? BYE!!

  1. Hi again Vitaraag,

Me again. I am really enjoying catching up on all your blog posts this today. You have worked so hard over the past couple weeks and I can’t wait to read through each and every one of your blog posts.

Thank you for completing Week 2, Day Two, Activity Three. I enjoyed reading your response to this activity about Martin Luther King JR Rosa Parks and the events that occurred in America during their time.

I like that you also shared your own opinion about what happened, I can tell that you’ve thought very hard about this and are very passionate about people being treated fairly. It can be very frustrating right, this world we live in?

Rosa Parks was such a brave woman for doing what she did, If she was alive, what is one question you would ask her?

    Kueni :)

  2. Hi Vitaraag,
I liked how you said that it was unfair for African American people to be treated like that just because of their skin colour. I also liked how you said that Martin Luther King stepped in to stop this horrendous regime. Do you think you could do the same thing Rosa did?
