Summer Learning Journey Week 1 Day 2 Activity 3

Hello bloggers,
In 2009, a pilot named Sully made a miracle by doing an emergency landing with 155 passengers on a plane. He landed the plane in the middle of the Hudson River, you might think that this was a tragedy, but all 155 passengers, including Sully, survived the landing. He is know well-known for the 'Miracle of Hudson'. For this activity, I have to talk about a time when I was brave.

Last year for my friends birthday, we were invited to go to Rainbow's End to celebrate. There were many fun rides, but some of them were absolutely terrifying, including the roller coaster. My sister didn't dare go on it, but I took the opportunity to enjoy everything I had there. As I boarded the roller coaster, my friend and I exchanged regretful looks. When the roller coaster fired up, my heart could've beated out of my chest. When it started, it was peaceful, until we came to the dreaded drop. All I can say is I'm glad I went on it because I might never have the chance again. I think I was brave because all my family members were frightened to go on it, and me being the youngest and only to go on it was such a big accomplishment.

I hope you enjoyed my recount of one of the bravest things I've ever done. If you have any feedback or extra comments, please feel free to let me know in the comments. What is your bravest moment? BYE!!

  1. Bula vi naka Vitaraag,

What an awesome post you have put together today. You have done so much work over the holidays so far, it is so cool to see! Keep up the hard work :)

Thank you for sharing when you had to brave, I think even going to Rainbows End in itself makes your very very brave! I really like that you have written this in a recount format and talked about who you went to Rainbows End with and all the events that led up to you having the courage to go on the Roller Coaster. I like how much detail you have put into your writing, like when you talk about you heart beating so hard it could’ve come out of you chest and all the descriptive language you have used.

I absolutely love Rainbows End, one of my best friends works there and I go all the time when she is working and sometimes with her. My favourite ride is the Roller Coaster, I could go on it 10 times in a row. What is your favourite ride at Rainbows End?

I look forward to reading more of your blog posts,
    Kueni :)

  2. Hi Vitaraag,
I liked how you said that you and your sister exchanged regretful expressions, and then felt like your heart could've burst from your chest. I also liked how you said that after the roller coaster, you felt brave and consider it a big accomplishment. Would you want to go on the roller coaster again?
