Summer Learning Journey Week 2 Day 2 Activty 2

Hello bloggers,
Climate change is one of the things that is decaying our earth. It does many harmful things including, floods, storms, droughts, hurricanes and much more. A 16 year old girl named Greta Thunberg is really worried about climate change. She protested that the government should take part in trying to save our planet. I this year, 2019 she shared her thoughts about climate change to the United Nation. Even though she is doing this a lot of people are still convinced that climate change is not occuring. I visited this website called School Strike for Climate Australia and now I will share three facts I read from this. I will also share a picture of a thing I am doing to help our planet. Here it is.

  1. Australian schools are striking for climate change. I wish that happened here.
  2. They banned getting new coal and oil. Even the Adani mine.
  3. Climate change is now classified as one of the most biggest problems.
Here is the picture of me running instead of using a car. This helps climate change by no realeasing harmul chemichals in the air.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post! If you have any feedback please put it in the comments. What do you do to help climate change? BYE!!

  1. Ata Mārie Vitaraag, I hope your morning is going well!

Well done on completing week two, day two, activity two! I enjoyed reading what you’d learnt from the School Strike for Climate Australia website. Was there any information that was new information to you, or did you know most of it already?

That’s awesome that you’re trying to use the car less, every little bit helps! Thanks for adding that image. Is there anything else at home that you and your family are doing to help the environment?

The climate strikes are happening here too! Here is an article about the one that happened in September 2019:

  2. Hi Vitaraag,
I liked how you said that Australian schools are striking for climate change, and that you wish the same thing was happening here in New Zealand. I found it interesting that climate change is now classified as one of the world's biggest problems, what do you think we can do to stop it?
