Summer Learning Journey Activity 1 Day 2 Week 4

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about zip lines. Rotorua has lots of beautiful forests and tourists usually go there and walk through the forest but that damages the plants. So The Rotorua Tours Canopy has found a solution. They go on zip lines through the forest. I have to tell you what would I feel if I were to go on the Rotorua zip line.

I think I would of been scared but I would of been excited to. My heart was probably going to be raising one million miles an hour. It is likely that I would of closed my eyes the whole journey. I'm definitely sure that I would hold on so tight like I have never before. I might have cried a little bit and I would also be really excited because I could see everything like the forests plants.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. BYE!!

  2. Hi Vitaraag,

It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I appreciate your honesty is saying that you'd probably be a little scared to try ziplining and that your heart would be racing at a million miles an hour. I think that that's how I would feel too!

I've never ziplined but both of my daughters have and they loved it!! They didn't mind being above the tree-tops, zooming along a wire. They loved having the view of the forest below and all of the freedom this gave them. They felt like birds!

I would like to think that I could zipline but I suspect that my legs would turn to jelly before I reached the starting platform. However, as you say, this is a great alternative to having crowds of people walking along the paths in Rotorua, wanting to see the hot mud pools but causing wear and tear to the environment.

I applaud the people who came up with this creative way of solving the problem of tourists causing damage to sensitive areas. Don't you?

I'll continue to read your blog. I hope you're having a good day!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
