Summer Learning Journey Activity 1 Day 5 Week 3

Hello bloggers
Air pollution is not good for the environment. This is not a small thing it is serious. I have watched a video about air pollution. Now I have to share 3 things that I learning from this video.
Here are the Facts

  1. Air pollution is caused by volcanic eruptions and natural disasters and fires but most of it is caused by humans.
  2. If we can use less fossil fuels and gasoline. I thought we can use bikes instead of cars. WE can put a roof on it and stuff like that.
  3. Fossil fuels are used to burn things and gases release into the atmosphere and trap the suns light heat and energy.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. BYE!!

  1. Hi Vitaraag,

It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I see that you've watched the video and learned some things about air pollution. For many of us the most surprising fact is that air pollution can occur naturally, as a result of forest fires or volcanic eruptions. My husband was in Iceland a few years ago and there was a volcanic eruption that poured so much ash into the air that planes couldn't fly in or out of Iceland for weeks. The ash drifted through the atmosphere, of course, and eventually disrupted flights in Europe too. Wow!
There have been some volcanic eruptions in Bali recently that have also caused some troubles.

But most of the air pollution we deal with is from our own activities. Your idea of using bikes rather than cars is a good one!! Walking is another alternative.

We have to work at finding ways to provide the power we need without creating pollution. Part of the answer might also be to try to live more simply, using fewer appliances and equipment that requires energy.

Lots to think about. I hope you're having a good summer day and continuing to enjoy these activities.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
