Summer Learning Journey Week 4 Day 5 Activity 3

Hello bloggers,
Sadly the Summer Learning Journey is coming to an end. This is the last activity. After this, all I have to do is comment on other people's blog. So for the last activity I have to choose my favourite activity from the whole Summer Learning Journey, my least favourite, three things I learned and what would I do to improve the Summer Learning Journey. Here are my decisions.

  1. I really like this activity I am doing right now! I like it because it is the last activity and I get to share my thoughts on the Summer Learning Journey. I also like this activity because after this I get to comment and view other people's blogs and what they are up to.
  2. My least favourite one was... NONE OF THEM. You heard me loud and clear ladies and gentlemen. None of the activities really bugged me out or anything. Sure some of them took a lot of time but you don't always have to rush. All of them were enjoyable and I learned a lot.
  3. The three things I learned are that even though New Zealand is a small country we have a lot of talented people, including Aaradhna, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Parris Goebal, Steven Adams and much more. The second fact is that most people that are famous had to struggle to get to where they are today. For example LeBron James. He grew up without his dad. The third one is that Nelson Mandela served 27 years in prison for fighting for African Americans and the BOOM he became the president.
  4. I feel like the Summer Learning Journey never had any issues with me. I feel like they shouldn't change anything.

I hope you enjoyed my Journey though these 60 activities. I enjoyed them so much. Sadly next year I won't be able to participate as I am going to be going to another school which doesn't compete in the Summer Learning Journey. Over the next couple days I may edit some of my activities. I really enjoyed this. Overall this journey has taught me so many things that I usually would never find out. A special thank you to the Summer Learning Journey team for this extraordinary opportunity. BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( 😔

  1. Talofa Lava Vitaraag,

A very big congratulations on completing all 60 of this years Summer Learning Journey. I have a lot of catching up to do but I wanted to pop on your final activity to congratulate you and let you know how proud I am for all your hard work over the summer break.

I enjoyed reading this final blog post of yours. I really like this activity because it gives you the space to reflect and share your thoughts on the Summer Learning Journey, like you’ve mentioned. I think the theme for this year is very special, especially because you have been able to learn so much about people, not only from around the world but right here in New Zealand.

I can tell that you’ve really enjoyed doing the Summer Learning Journey over the last 2 summers and I have thoroughly enjoyed commenting on your posts this year. Good luck for intermediate, your hard work this summer won’t go unnoticed, you will see how easy it will be to get into the rhythm of things when you start school in a few weeks.

Well done, I hope you have a wonderful rest of your summer break!

    Tofa Soifua,
    Kueni :)

  2. Hi Vitaraag,

Congratulations on completing all 60 Summer Learning Journey activities! You have done such an incredible job, Vitaraag. I was sharing with the team that the quality of your posts this year are outstanding.I really am proud of you for all the time and energy you have put into your learning this summer.

It has been a real honour watching you and your learning progress over the 3 years. In 2017, you completed a couple of practice activities when I came into your class. Through the summer of 2018-19, you were racing Gargee to the finish completing all 60 activities and posting 186 comments. This programme hasn’t finished yet however, I have a feeling that you may be on track to reaching last year's incredible achievement.

I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed the SLJ this year. I laughed out loud when I read your second point especially when you said “none of the activities really bugged me out or anything”.

Vitaraag, you are going to achieve incredible things throughout your life.

    Ngā mihi,
    Megan :)

  5. Hello Vitaraag,

Congratulations for making it to the end of the Summer Learning Journey! You've worked so hard getting through despite you starting a little late. I find it so amazing that you were always busy with the activities, eager to complete another one. You happily told me the new things you learnt and how you always liked the activity. I also remember when you got through so many activities in just one sitting: all just because you loved blogging so much!

Sadly, this is the last year that you'll be participating. I just want you to know that you've done such amazing things over the 2 times you've competed. The standard of your work is high and you always try your best! I want to wish you amazing luck as you join me in intermediate, I know you'll do great. :)

One last time, well done for all the hard work. Do remember to continue commenting on other students blogs to encourage them while they carry on with the journey.

  14. Hi Vitaraag,
I liked how you said that you didn't dislike any of the activities, and that you liked this activity the most because you get to reflect on things and talk about how you felt. I also liked how you said that the summer learning journey shouldn't change anything. Are you going to participate next year?
