Hello bloggers,
Julian Dennison is a young boy which has starred in many films and ads. He is from Lower Hutt around Wellington. Surprisingly, he is only 17 years old. As I said he is still in a lot of movies and commercials. He has been in the Lynx ads and has been in The Hunt for WilderPeople, Deadpool etc. Even though he is in a lots of ads he has also done things to help others. For example he has travelled to Uganda with the World Vision team to support the people who had to leave because of wars. So for this activity I have to decide whether or not I should be like Julian Dennison and travel to help the people. Here is my opinion.
I definitely would go. Here is why. Firstly, I could meet new people and maybe make some new friends. Secondly, I would go because what if I was in the same situation that they are in, I would want someone to take my bad thoughts out of my head. Thirdly, I can know how these people live and what they have to experience. Hopefully I will be able to go. Even though I can't help everyone in the world If I help at least one person to them it could mean the world.
I hope you enjoyed my blog post. If you have any feedback please leave it in the comments. Would you join the World Vision team? BYE!!

Kia ora Vitaraag,
ReplyDeleteThanks for having a go at week four, day three, activity three! I enjoyed reading about whether or not you would travel overseas with the World Vision team. You’ve made some good points - it would be a once in a lifetime experience and you would learn so much from it, but I can imagine it would also be incredibly challenging.
I work in violence prevention and although I cannot end violence purely on my own, or even within the organisation I work for, if I can help at least one person to get the help and support they need, it could mean the world to them, and that’s what keeps me going in this work :) So I loved what you said about this in your post.
This activity asks you to consider doing a 20 or 40 Hour Famine to raise money for charity, and to tell us whether or not you would participate in 20 or 40 Hour Famine and why. So if you could have a go at re-doing this activity that would be fabulous, then I can award you the full points :) You can just post your answer in the comments below.
I have never done the 20 or 40 hour famine but I fast for 16-18 hours a day anyway so I think I could do it pretty easily! I would put the money towards young mothers in Africa who need financial support.
I look forward to reading your updated post Vitaraag,
Eliza :)
Hello Eliza,
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if I should update the post or reply to you, so I will do both. I would really want to do the 20-40 Hour famine. I would probably give up either devices or food. I would do this because I feel like this would raise money for people who need it more than me. I would probably give it to the kids who have lost their parents. I might be able to make new friends, as well as helping people out. If this is not enough information please tell me! Anyways, thanks for telling me :)
Vitaraag
Namaste Vitaraag, thanks for your reply! Yes just in the comments is totally fine :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling me why you’d do the 20 or 40 hour famine. I think it’s a really great thing to do as it is a challenge for yourself but it is helping others too. I can tell you’re a really caring and empathetic person just by reading this post. It makes you feel good inside when you are being kind, thoughtful and helpful towards others, doesn’t it :)
Thanks for your reply, have a great afternoon. I have awarded you the full points for this activity now.
Eliza :)
I really enjoyed reading about your blog post, you have done a great job.
ReplyDeleteHi Vitaraag,
ReplyDeleteI liked how you said that you would want to travel around the world in order to help those in need, and help them however you can. I also liked how you said that if you could help at least one person, it would mean the world to you. Would you want to bring anyone with you?
