Summer Learning Journey Week 4 Day 5 Activity 2

Hello bloggers,
Misty Copeland is a world famous ballet. She started learning ballet when she was 3 - 4 years old! At the age of 13 she started taking ballet lessons. Amazingly, at the age of 14 she had won a national competition for ballet dancer. Keep in mind that there were also a lot of other people involved in this competition. Another one of her accomplishments were that in 2015 she became the first African American to be the leader of the American ballet theatre. During an interview with her she said a inspirational quote which was 'see dreams through me'. So for this activity I went on a website that had a lot of quotes. I chose one. Here it is.

This basicially means if you can dream big than you are already better than smart people.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post. If you have any feedback please leave it in the comments. I got the backround picture from labeled for reuse. Have you heard of this quote? BYE!!

  1. Hi Vitaraag,
I really liked you quote and the explanation you gave on why you liked it. I also enjoyed reading about Misty Copeland. She seems to be a really cool dancer. I really like dancing too. Do you like to dance? Maybe next time you explain the quote in a bit more detail. Anyways you have done an amazing job. Keep it up.

    Have a nice day,

  2. Ahiahi pai Vitaraag,

Thanks for sharing your favourite inspiration quote. I like that quote as it is super positive and gives people hope for their futures. Albert Einstein was a very wise man wasn’t he! It’s so important to keep your hopes, dreams, and goals in sight because then you can continue working towards them. Do you have any short or long term goals?

Here a few of my favourite quotes:

“All there is now” - this always makes me feel relaxed and brings me back to the present because we can’t actually control anything other than our own reactions to people/events, so we may as well be as present in the current moment as we possibly can.

“You are not your thoughts or feelings” - remembering this is always really helpful when I'm feeling anxious or stressed because although it feels like they are, our thoughts and feelings are not us - they disappear and if they were us then we would disappear too but we don’t!

“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” – Roald Dahl.

What do you think of these quotes?

Have an awesome rest of your summer Vitaraag!
    Eliza :)

  5. Hi Vitaraag! I really like this quote you've chosen by Albert Einstein... "Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts." This could also mean someone who believes, and continues to work hard for their dream is more powerful than someone who simply relies on reality and trust the facts over themselves. I'd also love to know how this was inspiring and connected to you. I think it's really motivating to hear this, and a reminder to never give up on your dreams...Good work!

  6. Hi Vitaraag,
I liked how you chose the quote "Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts". I also liked how you said that you think it means that if you dream big you can do better than people smarter than you. Do you know any other inspirational quotes?
    Keep up the good work
