Parris Goebal is a phenomenal dancer. She is kinda famous in New Zealand. If you have not heard of her then I will explain. She was born in Manurewa, South New Zealand. In her younger years she was really intrigued with dance. When she was 10 she took hip hop lessons. At the age of 15 she was amazing. She was so good that she started her own crew named ReQuest. She went on to win several hip hop championships. After this she started many new crews that also won many awards worldwide. She also worked with other famous musicians. So for this activity I watched their award winning performance. I have to state my opinion. Here it is.
I was amazed. Like I though that the thing I just watched wasn't humanly possible. I really like how all of them we spot on time. I also like how they did an action that related to the music. They also had matching costumes. Another thing that is amazing is that they had a really big group of people. That added to make a really good affect. I feel like they don't really need to improve anything. One thing that I thing that they should do is like add a story line or something like that. (That is just my opinion).

ReplyDeleteThank you for completing the first activity of Week 4 the last lot of activities Wohooo! Thank you for sharing your review of the Royal Family dance sudio’s performance. I can tell that you watched their performance very closely a commented on so many things that happened during this. I like that you acknowledged that something they could do is make their dances like a story. If you could pitch a storyline to Parris Goebel for one of their performances what would you say?
Did you know much about the Royal Family or Parris before doing this activity? Did you know that many dancers in her company along with her have performed with many famous people all around the world such as Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown and even Sam Smith.

ReplyDeleteKia Ora Vitaraag! I'm Victoria from Panmure Bridge School. I really like the layout of your blog posts, it's usually in three parts: the introduction - your activity - short outro. In this activity we look at dance crew, the Royal Family and judge their award winning performance. I also think they did amazing and absolutely incredible on stage, which definitely payed of when they ended up winning the World Hip Hop Dance Championship! What is a good song that you think should be in their next performance? Great work!

ReplyDeleteI found it interesting that you described the show as not humanly possible and amazing, they must've been practising for long time to pull it off like that. I also liked how you said that they didn't need to change anything. Would you want to join a dance group like that?
