Today I am practising for the 2019 to 2020 summer learning journey. So you might have seen this type of blog post one my blog before. This is just a practice. Enough of this now lets get on with the main part of this post. I will be sharing 3 facts (Plus a bonus one) about my hometown New Zealand.
1. New Zealand was the first country to give woman the right to vote. This momentous occasion happened in 1893. This occurred because of a woman named Kate Shepard .
2.The highest mountain in the world, Mt Everest, is about 8848 meters. The first ever person the climb it was Sir Edmund Hillary. He did this along with his partner Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Sir Edmund Hillary was a New Zealander.
3.New Zealand has a very special dolphin called the hectors dolphin. It is endemic to New Zealand. It is classified as one of the most rarest dolphins in the world. There are only abut 10000 left. So if you come across one you can say you are lucky.
Bonus fact. No matter were you are in New Zealand you will never be more then 128 kilometers from the seaside.
