Summer Learning Journey Activity 3 Day 2 Week

Hello bloggers,
Today we are going to talk about animal life. Animals can get endangered at anytime organisations are trying to stop endangered animal from becoming extinct. There is an organisation called the Fauna & Flora International or for short FFI. They have saved lots of things and I have to choose one that interests me and why I like it.

I like the project for the cat ba langur because they look so so cute. I feel like this was an endangered species but I thing the FFI organisation is planning to save it. It population is going down because it can't find food and has no habitat. This is caused because of humans destroying the environment It interests me because the animal looks like an ape and apes were our ancestors and I thought all of them were dead.

Thank you for coming to my blog. Please give me feedback. BYE!!

  1. Hi Vitaraag,

It's Leslie here, reading your blog from my home in Canada. I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, even though I live on the far side of the world from New Zealand. Isn't it awesome that people can work together while living a half a world apart?

Good for you to have read through the Fauna & Flora website to find out about these langurs. Their page is listed in the middle of the website, by my reading, so you've done your homework for sure. Wonderful!!

They are certainly a rare and endangered animal as they're found in just one location, on islands and threatened by tourism and other human activities. It's such a shame that our wishes to be tourists often threatens the very parts of the world that we want to see. I think we'd be wise to 'visit' many delicate places by looking at the pictures of them that have already been taken, rather than trying to travel there ourselves. There are just too many tourists, it seems!!

Do you have favourite wild places that you like to visit? Do you enjoy going to the beaches around Auckland, and along the coasts in other areas of New Zealand? You have very beautiful landscapes in your country!!

I hope you're having fun this summer. I'm enjoying reading your blog!!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
